My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 28th September 2021 - Leckhampton Hill

Seven of us for the walk today starting from Leckhampton Hill. Following the Cotswold Way past the Devil's Chimney past the Star College to Crickley Hill. A civilised stop here with proper coffee and toilets. On to Barrow Wak to admire the views then on to Cobberley with a lunch stop on South Hill. Returning to Leckwith Hill through Hartley Bottom and Hartley Farm. Mixed weather, fine to start but with some rain for the last section. 10 miles with 1200 feet of ascent.
