Just me and Lucy on the walk this morning on a familiar circuit going out towards Hawling, Roel Gate and Guiting Wood. 8 mi with 800 ftascent and a really good pace. Clear and bright.
Tuesday 8th September 2027 - Malvern Hills
There wasn't a group walk today so an opportunity to do a solo walk in one of my favourite places on the Malvern Hills. There had been heavy rain overnight which only just stopped before I started to walk and this meant there was there was low cloud swirling around for most of my walk. I started from the car park below British camp and allalong the top to the Worcestershire beacon. Always a stiff walk with several short sharp uphill bits. The views came and went as the cloud swirled around. 8 miles with 1400 ft of ascent.
Tuesday 1st September 2026 - Cold Aston
Eight of us for a walk on a fine sunny morning. From Cold Aston, around Folly Farm. On to Notgrove and almost to Salperton and then to Hazleton and Turkdean. 10 miles with 900 feet of ascent. After the recent rain it's good to see the grass starting to go green again.
