My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Wednesday 10th April 2019 Painswick

A fine walk from Painswick and an opportunity to do a little bit more of the Cotswold Way.

Starting from Painswick and initially down into the valley to follow the Painswick stream to Cranham. Through Buckholt Wood and Cooper's Hill Wood to Cooper's Hill and the top of the slope where the annual cheese rolling competition takes place. On to the Cotswold Way to follow it back past the Painswick Beacon to the start in Painswick. Some sunshine but with a cool breeze as well.

9 miles and 1300 feet ascent.

I left the battery behind for my camera so the photos are from my mobile phone.
