My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Haresfield Beacon Wednesday 31stOctober 2018

Starting from the National Trust car park for Haresfield Beacon on a lovely sunny warm morning.  Down through Standish Wood and then back on to the Cotswold Way for a while. Then down over Ocker Hill for a coffee break. On through Ruscombe Farm to Whiteshill and up through Pitchcombe Wood. The lunch stop was by the disused quarry on Scottsquare Hill. Re-joining the Cotswold Way to the Haresfield Beacon and back to the start.

Just over 9 miles and 1963 feet.

With the Gloucs Mid Week ramblers.
