My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 25th July 2023 - Mickleton

A circular walk from Mickleton around Meon Hill. Steeply up at first to Kiftsgate Court and Hidcote then gently undulating around the hill 7 miles.

Meon Hill ahead

One of the eight Ebrington parish boundary stones to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - erected in 2012

A tight path through the rapeseed - ready for harvesting I think

A bit easier through the corn field

Heading back to Mickleton
