My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 21st March 2023 - Church Westcote

Following the Diamond Way to Bledington then on the Oxford way to Foxholes and finally on the D'Arcy Dalton Way back to Fifield. A fine day and easy going to start with but returning from Foxholes was hard going with mud, mud and even more mud. Challenging at times and sometimes difficult to stand up. A route I would not have chosen if the mud was like that on the recce. But, it's always good to be out! 8 miles with 500 feet of ascent.
