My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Monday 20th April 2020 On the side of Langley Hill

A short walk from home on the side of Langley Hill just above Gretton on some footpaths I have not been on before.

5 miles and 700 feet of ascent.

This is just above Gretton Hill Farm

Looking across to Alderton Hill

Always good to find some bluebells

Bredon Hill in the distance

Through the woods

Past the alpacas

One of the railway bridges in Gretton

Briefly on the Winchcombe Way

Over the railway track where it goes into the tunnel just before Winchcombe station
