My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 20th January 2026 - Hayles Fruit Farm

A five mile walk this week from Hayles Fruit Farm, near Didbrook.  A fine sunny morning but with a a strong wind on exposed parts. We took the gentle path up towards Farmcote on the Cotswold way and then a left to the Beckbury Monument and Stumps Cross. Down to Wood Stanway. Finally returning through Didbrook and on the Winchcombe Way. 5.25 miles and  650 ft ascent
