My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

17th September 2024 Willersey

Cool and fresh in Willersey at the start of the walk - autumn mist lying low. It soon turned into a glorious sunny day. Initially along the disused railway line and across the fields to Childswickham and a stop at the church for coffee.  Through the holiday park and into Broadway then up to Foxhill Manor for fantastic views across to the Malvern hill. Finally back down to Willersey. 7 miles with 400 feet of ascent.

Under the disused railway line.
