A superb winter morning for walking. Clear views and cold. We soon warmed up. Starting in Great Rollright and going to Hook Norton the edge of Whichford and Long Compton. 10.5 miles with 1000 feet of ascent
St Andrew's church, Great Rollright.
To the edge of Hook Norton and an unusual collection on this driveway.
The footpath took us past the famous victorian family owned Hook Norton brewery.
In nearby fields their shire horses
Doctor's Barn with Brailles hill in the distance behind.
Long Compton below. Relatively warm in the sunshine but a noticable drop in temperature in the shaded woodland.
