My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 8th June 2021 - Winchcombe to Cleeve Hill and Belas Knap

Back with the Tuesday group for a walk from Winchcombe. Glorius warm day. Just under 12 miles with 1500 feet of ascent.

Going up Langley Hill

Langley Drover - a new sculpture by Neil Gow to repThe lace the Millennium Man who finally collapsed last year.  Below is a photo of the Millennium Man take in 2018 and another of him in bits in October last year. The Millennium Man was carved from a dead tree and lasted 20years.  The new sculpture is in cedar wood and expected to last for much longer.
