My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Friday 5th November 2022 Belas Knap

Not much walking lately as I have been doing a lot of cycling. This was my first longer walk for a while.

A beautiful autumnal morning on day 2 of the second lockdown.  Winchcombe was relatively quiet so I headed up to Belas Knap following the Cotswold way out of Winchcombe up to Corndean Hall then through the Breakheart Plantation. Along the top to Belas Knap and back down following the Winchcombe Way.

Just over 8 miles with 1100 feet of ascent.
