My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Monday 20th July Belas Knap

A lovlely sunny day for a walk up to Belas Knap. I took the Winchcombe Way up past Wadfield Farm and Humblebee Cottages and came back through the Breakheart Plantation and past Corndean Hall.

9 miles and 1250 feet of ascent.

Winchcombe is now looking more normal the summer banners are up and visitors have started to return.

The new path - there used to be a full track here but the farmer has now changed things somewhat.
