A cool and dull start to the walk at Chipping Norton. It did warm up when the sun came out later. We left Chipping Norton on Shakespeare's Way to Salford. Then on the D'Arcy Doulton Way through Cornwell to Churchill. Then back to Chipping Norton passing through Sarsgrove Wood.
Just over 9 miles and a fairly flat walk with only 800feet ascent. 13 on the walk

Sunday 14th April 2019 Cold Aston
A superb circular walk from Cold Aston. Lots of people gathering in this little hamlet as two different walking groups got ready to set off. Beautiful undulating Cotswold countryside but with a bitterly cold wind. Our route took us on the Gloucestershire Way to Notrove then the Diamond Way to Hazleton and Turkdean. Finally we came back to Cold Aston on the Macmillan Way. 23 on the walk
8.15 miles and 875 feet of ascent.

Friday 12th April 2019 Liverpool
An overnight trip to Liverpool. Invited by my friend Simon to give a presentation about my photography to South Liverpool Camera Club.
Then on Friday a short trip around the pier head in Liverpool. A very different kind of walk for me. So many changes since I was last there a long time ago.
The Beatles
Ferry across the Mersey
Remembering the 96 who died at Hillsborough.
Outstanding new buildings......

Wednesday 10th April 2019 Painswick
A fine walk from Painswick and an opportunity to do a little bit more of the Cotswold Way.
Starting from Painswick and initially down into the valley to follow the Painswick stream to Cranham. Through Buckholt Wood and Cooper's Hill Wood to Cooper's Hill and the top of the slope where the annual cheese rolling competition takes place. On to the Cotswold Way to follow it back past the Painswick Beacon to the start in Painswick. Some sunshine but with a cool breeze as well.
9 miles and 1300 feet ascent.
I left the battery behind for my camera so the photos are from my mobile phone.
Tocknells Court
Eddells Mill
A muddy patch in Buckholt Wood
Cooper's Hill and....
Brockworth Wood
Painswick Beacon
The view to the west
