My Country Walks

Welcome to my new blog following my move to the Cotswolds in early 2018.

Previously living on the edge of Dartmoor I shared details of my walks on Dartmoor on my previous blog My Dartmoor Walks. As I explore this new area I will share details of the routes here.

Tuesday 14th October 2025 - Wardens Wood

A bumper turnout today with 13 on the walk (incuding 2 guests). Following the Coln Trail from Wardens Wood to Charlton Pool then through Brockhampton, Sevenhampton, Syreford and Whittington. A very dull autumnal day and we were in the clouds on the higher ground. Lots of shades of Autumn. 7.5 miles with 600 ft ascent.
